Black Narcissus – movie
This explosive work about the conflict between the spirit and the flesh is the epitome of the sensuous style of filmmakers Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger. A group of nuns - played by some of Britain's best actresses, including Deborah Kerr, Flora Robson, and Jean Simmons - struggles to establish a convent in the snowcapped Himalayas; isolation, extreme weather, altitude, and culture clashes all conspire to drive the well-intentioned missionaries mad. A darkly grand film that won Oscars for its set design and for its cinematography by Jack Cardiff, Black Narcissus is one of the greatest achievements by two of cinema's true visionaries.
Bong Joon-Ho Collection (box set) – movie
A Bong Joon-ho triple feature including Mother, The Host and Barking Dogs Never Bite. Mother is a unique murder mystery about a mother's primal love for her son. The Host Collector's Edition is about a monster that the government claims to be a host of an unidentified virus. Barking Dogs Never Bite is about a man's reaction to a yapping dog and the extreme action he takes to deal with his tormentor, an action that will come to haunt him.

Mother is a devoted single parent to her simple-minded twenty-seven- year-old son, Do-joon. Often a source of anxiety to his mother, Do- joon behaves in foolish or simply dangerous ways. One night, while walking home drunk, he encounters a school girl who he follows for a while before she disappears into a dark alley. The next morning, she is found dead in an abandoned building, and Do-joon is accused of her murder. An inefficient lawyer and an apathetic police force result in a speedy conviction. His mother refuses to believe her beloved son is guilty and immediately undertakes her own investigation to find the girl's killer. In her obsessive quest to clear her son's name, Mother steps into a world of unimaginable chaos and shocking revelations.
The Most Dangerous Man in America – documentary
