Portugal. The Man played to a large group of young and very
enthusiastic kids on August 14. The band played acoustic versions of
their songs, which showed off the
quirky melodies and how lovely the vocals really are on their new
album Satanic Satanist. The crowd squeezed in as people kept
showing up to fill our space. With well over 100 eager fans in
attendance, it took what was going to be a very intimate little show
and turned it into a really happening event. Our good friends at Helmet
Room Recording came in and recorded the performance, which will
become a CD that will be released to national independent record
stores later this year.
