Instore Performance/Signing: April 10, 2014
Wrap-up for Nathaniel Rateliff live at Twist and Shout 4/10/14
Last night we had the pleasure of hosting an in-store performance with Denver’s own Nathaniel Rateliff. We were celebrating the release of his new album Falling Faster Than You Can Run. Over 200 fans joined us for the concert, and we sold a large amount of CDs and LPs. Fans that purchased the album stayed after the performance for an autograph signing. He had a full band with him, filled with great local musicians like Joseph Pope III on guitar, Julie Davis on upright bass , Patrick Meese on drums and Mark Shoosz on keyboards. The room was filled with a lot of familiar faces – other musicians showing support, our regular free concert customers, and local music lovers. It was also nice to see that about half of the crowd seemed like new and younger customers. Nathaniel Rateliff has such a beautiful voice and such great songs I think he appeals to a very wide range of listeners. I have been big fan of Rateliff for ten years now, and it feels really good to be a part of this little musical family feeling. The band sounded so full and clear last night, I even found myself doing a little dancing during the set! There were a lot of little ones in the crowd including Joseph Pope IV, and it seemed like even the babies were enjoying the show! We hope you get a chance to see Nathaniel Rateliff during his tour for Falling Faster Than You Can Run, his voice is a powerful and haunting and must be heard in person.
